Enjoy this one-hour horseback ride across the Spray River in Banff. If you’ve never been riding a horse before then you will be paired with the perfect horse so you can enjoy a comfortable ride. Before starting the tour your guide will provide a brief riding instruction and then you will be on your way.
Breathe in the pine-spiced mountain air as you approach the Bow Falls. You will also pass by the famous Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course on this ride – one of the most immaculately manicured courses in Canada.
Continue along the edge of the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, and cross through the waters once more. A partial climb up Sulphur Mountain brings you through a wooded residential area and back to the corrals.
The most unique feature of this trip is crossing the Spray River. On hotter days, your horse may even decide to cool itself off by splashing water onto its belly – it’s an experience unlike anything else.
Minimum age: 8 years. Children under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian on the ride with them.
Please note that children will not be paired with an adult – they must ride their own horse.
Duration: 1 hour.

Departure: every hour from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily*. Times may be subject to change.
Maximum weight: 230 pounds.
Must wear closed toe shoes and long pants, sandals are not permitted.
For safety purposes helmets are mandatory to be worn by all riders.
Dress for the weather.
Don’t forget your camera.
Previous riding experience is not required.

You are required to check-in at least 30 minutes prior to your ride’s scheduled departure time to fill out a waiver and get assigned your horse. The ride will depart as scheduled.
