Get ready to be splashed and get wet. The Kananaskis River is one heck of a ride – the foamy white rapids lift your raft skyward. You shake the water from your eyes and paddle with all your might as the river surges around you. Plotting a course through the best rapids and cruising swiftly down the flat stretches while your river-savvy guide ensures the safety of the excursion. Meantime, you will have peaceful moments to look up and admire the Kananaskis Country scenery.

Conveniently located 45 minutes west of Calgary in the front ranges of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, this river offers the novice rafter a thrilling and fun introduction to whitewater rafting.

This experience is suitable for the entire family – the novice-level rapids are perfect for young adventurers as well as perfect for a group outing.

 

Minimum age: 5 years and a minimum of 40 pounds, and a maximum weigh of 350 pounds.
Duration: 4 hours.
River time: 1.5-2 hours.
Season: May-September.
Departs daily: 1:30 pm.
River rapids: class 2-3.

Your experience includes:
– Professional river guide on each raft,
– Wetsuit, lifejacket, helmet, rainjacket, wetsuit booties and gloves,
– Safety instruction and practice paddle,

Remember to bring:
Wear your bathing suit, bring a towel and a change of clothes (warm sweater) for after your rafting trip and a bag to hold your personal items while you’re on the river.
Waiver must be signed prior to the trip.
