Come to the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary and enjoy an up-close look at wolves and wolfdogs. On this educational tour gain a better understanding about wolf behavior through the wolfdogs and how this behavior fundamentally differs from domestic dogs.
This is also a great opportunity to learn about the importance of wolves in our ecosystem, and why it’s so important to preserve them in our natural environment.
Guests will have the opportunity to walk around the Sanctuary either before or after the scheduled tour time. A 30-minute presentation will be given by one of the wolfdog’s caretakers in addition to the Sanctuary Walk.
This tour will allow you entry into one of the wolfdog enclosures behind a short barrier.
You will also have plenty of photo opportunities from inside their enclosure and ample time to speak with a sanctuary team member leading the tour.
There is no interaction with the wolfdogs on this tour!
Must be 15 or older to attend this tour.
Duration: 45 minutes. You will have plenty of time before or after the tour to explore the sanctuary on a self-guided walk.
Season: available year-round.
The maximum is 8 guests per tour session.
Schedule: Thursday-Sunday. Tour times are 10:30 am, 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm*. The schedule may be subject to change.
This experience is available all year round, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
This tour is currently not wheelchair accessible.
Please do not bring your own dogs to the Sanctuary, in your car or otherwise.
No smoking is permitted on the sanctuary grounds (this includes the parking lot).

This is a standing tour; seating is not available.
