The Snowshoeing Tour is a fun winter activity that you can do with your family and friends while in Whistler. Walk through vigorous treks on backcountry trails and explore Whistler Mountain on snowshoes. Choose from the two tour options below. Both tours are perfect if you are a first-time snowshoer.
Natural Mystic Tour
You will be taken high up Rainbow Mountain in an open-air 4×4 vehicle, where you’ll snowshoe through beautiful coastal rainforest and enjoy spectacular views over some of the highest peaks in the Whistler backcountry. Our experienced guides will lead you through undulating terrain in the pristine and tranquil wilderness while sharing expert knowledge about the local environment.
Ancient Cedars
Experience the peace and solitude of freshly fallen snow while wandering through the legendary Ancient Cedars trail. Our professional guides will talk you through the history of the area and point out a variety of mammoth trees, some over 1000 years old. With frozen waterfalls, stunning vistas and a satisfying snack break along the way, this trail has something for everyone.
Minimum age: 6 years old for Natural Mystic Tour and 8 years old for Ancient Cedars Tour.
Season: December 1st to April 30th – subject to snow conditions.
Location: Cougar Mountain.
Natural Mystic Tour:
Duration: 2.25 hours (round trip from Cougar base) with approximately 1 hour snowshoe time.
Tour rating: Beginner / Easiest Terrain.
Tour Schedule: 9:30 am*. *Closed on select midweek days during low volume periods. Time may be subject to change.
Ancient Cedars:
Duration: 3.5 hours (round trip from Cougar base) with approximately 1.75 hours of snowshoe time
Tour rating: Beginner / Easiest Terrain.
Tour duration: 1.5 hours (round trip) with approximately 1 hour of snowshoe time
Tour Time: 1:00 pm*. *Closed on select midweek days during low volume. Time may be subject to change.

All guests are required to sign a legal release of liability waiver.
COVID-19 Measures in Place: Guests will be required to consent to a non-invasive temperature check, and wearing a protective mask is required at times. Masks will be provided, or guests can bring their own.
