Phantom Lake by Seaplane
Phantom Lake near Squamish is a dazzling, emerald green hanging lake. The lake suspended above a waterfall at 4000 feet makes it an unbelievable sight. This sheltered wild haven has a soft sandy beach at the north end and can only be accessed by seaplane.A hanging sub-alpine lake overlooked by the impressive Mt Tzooniem, Mt Jimmy Jimmy and glaciers.
Land on emerald waters at the top of a magnificent waterfall and walk the beach after a refreshing dip. At one end water feeds into the lake from the nearby glaciers of Mt Jimmy Jimmy and Tzoonie Mountain, while at the other it escapes via a towering cascading waterfall. On the way there (and back) you’ll fly shoulder-to-shoulder with million year-old peaks, over ancient valleys, and through a landscape worthy of a National Geographic documentary.
After flying through the coast mountains you’ll land on the rich turquoise waters of Phantom Lake. Your pilot will taxi you to the shore where you can enjoy taking photos, swimming, or just relaxing in solitude. Bring your own picnic for a little tasty treat or a memorable alpine lunch.
