Vaseux Lake is a nature lover’s paradise. Located between Okanagan Falls and Oliver, BC this migratory bird sanctuary has stunning views of the McIntyre Bluff and its surroundings. A Southern Okanagan Gem, Vaseux Lake is almost entirely surrounded by protected wildlife habitat. It’s a very rare day to not see something of interest on this paddle.
On this recreational Kayak Tour, your guide will lead you from riparian shorelines to get a glimpse of foraging birds and painted turtles, to rocky cliff-sides in search of big horn sheep and bears! While paddling you will learn about the local ecology, the protected status of the area, and other interesting facts on the area.
This is a perfect experience that combines: tour of the lake in the kayak, some physical activity and opportunity to learn something new about the area.
No minimum age, children under 8 may be required to sit in a double kayak with an adult.
Minimum of 2 people required to run this tour.
Tour duration: 2.5 hours.
Season: May-October.
Schedule: 9:00 am – 11:30 am, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour start time
